Lecture 3:                   Maximilian Schachtner 10.2.                      7–9 PM MDT
Season 3 brought together designer, Mark Owens, alongside Maximilian Schachtner, and Artist Roxanne Gray to discuss the intersections of collaboration, making, and brand-building among other things.

Mark Owens, who recently took over as Design Director for the Walker Art Center discusses the differences of working for and within institutions, brand expression and continuity, and what it is like collaborating closely with artists and curators on bringing works of art to life in ways that extend the experience beyond the gallery. Maximilian Schachtner, co-founder and creative director of Daily Dialogue, dives deep into the origin story of starting one of the most exciting studios operating today, and how, in other words, channeling passion and interest can make for the most exciting and inspiring work.
Local pillar Roxanne Gray, discusses how community is rooted in collaboration as she takes us through several projects and initiatives ranging from 801 salon, a sporadic curatorial project focusing on giving local artists a platform for expression, and various performance-based artworks that ground her practice.

In preparation for ELS.2025 Season 4 dive deep into the archive and learn how the future is being shaped through design and collaboration.

Season One of the Ellipsis Lecture Series kicked off with three lectures from people whose work embodies curiosity, care, and the power of community. With a shared commitment to pushing creative boundaries and fostering meaningful connections, the inaugural speakers offered their perspectives on their work and the intersection of culture.


LECTURES WILL BE HOSTED VIA ZOOM AT 7 PM MST. EVENT TICKETS, AND REGISTRATION IS HOSTED THROUGH EVENTBRITE.
